Born in 1998, Atroxentis, an extreme metal project, massively invaded the underground Belgian metal scene for a couple of month.

After dozens of repeated shows and a 6 tracks demo ("Evil's prisoner "), the band took a break.

Two years later, Yannick and Sven gave Atroxentis a second breath and recorded two songs for the “Unleash your dark side” split CD.

Eventually, boosted by a strong line-up, they recorded their first album in 2004 : “Blood heals my wounds”.

During the promotion of "Blood" grew the envy of writing a complex concept album to be called “Verus Dominus”.

Undermined by lots of gigs and line-up issues, this long creation process ended at the arrival of Oliver as second guitar.

They recorded the tracks and went to the Polish Sound Division Studio in Warsaw for the reamping, vocals and final mix/mastering with Malta (Behemoth, Hate, Decapitated ....).
 

The self-produced concept album "VERUS DOMINUS" was released in 2014.

 

The new round of promotion ended in apotheosis with a first European tour in 2016 with Hate (Pl) and Noctem (Sp).
